My newest song and music video, “Pīkake Princess,” is a tribute to Princess Kaʻiulani, the last heir to the Hawaiian monarchy, and her former home, ʻĀinahau, where the OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Paradise Hotel now stands. Rather than trying to portray Princess Kaʻiulani herself, I wrote this song as a reflection of the qualities and parallels we share. Like her, I travel far yet carry home in my heart. We are both women of the world… but also coconut girls.

Filmed at the OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Paradise Hotel, this video captures the spirit of a modern-day island girl, one who carries Hawaiʻi wherever she goes. It’s a playful, uplifting and stylish reimagining of what Princess Kaʻiulani might embody if she were living today: confident, cosmopolitan and proud of her roots. From Waikīkī sunsets to local favorites that make Hawaiʻi unique, the video celebrates the joy of sharing aloha with the world.
