Behind the Music
Produced by Taimane with her signature artistry, Liʻulā showcases new original compositions by Taimane alongside her arrangements of Hawaiian works by Dr. Pualani Kanakaʻole Kanahele, Liko Martin, Thor Wold and Queen Liliʻuokalani.
Featuring Taimane on ʻukulele, vocals, acoustic guitar, midi, and ʻulīʻulī, Pierre Grill on Hawaiian nose flute and Jacob Staron on cello, the album was engineered and associate-produced by Grill at his studio, Rendezvous Recording, in Mānoa, Hawaiʻi.
Photography was provided by Walt Ryan Calinawan, with florals and album image concept by Kim R. K. Scott and makeup by Kecia Littman.
