This seven-song album is about that exact hour. Set against a deep indigo sonic palette built from ukulele, ambient pads, haunting vocals, and traditional Hawaiian instrumentation, including ʻuliʻuli and ʻohe hano ihu (nose flute), the album dwells in the blurred line between reality and illusion: water that resembles a face, a voice that echoes someone gone, a road that isn’t quite the one you remember.

Hearing the first notes of the opening track, we move from a chant-born awakening through moonlit water into a reimagined “Waimanalo Blues,” stripped down and made ghostly. Then, into “Nightmarchers,” where conch shells sound through the dark with the same bone-deep intensity as the pū that once warned of the marching dead. Onward goes the journey deep inside a “Hilo Night,” steeped in the real sounds of the island after dark, coquí frogs calling through the humidity to root the mirage in a true sense of place.
